New York: McDonnell Bros., 1866 Book. Fair. Hardcover. First Edition. Elephant Folio - over 15 - 23" tall. Large brown two-volume Civil War book set with a gilt cover title. Five inch top spine cover chip and a one and one half inch bottom spine chip to volume 1. Volume 2 has a top chip/slight gouge at the spine top and a small chip at the bottom spine. Covers with light to moderate worming. Shaken and cracked bindings with a few loose pages and some old taped tears. The first 8 pages (from the title page) to the second volume are loose from binding and present. Fair minus to Fair plus condition. About 16-1/2 x 12 with 836 total pages. Illustrated, plus maps. Rare two-volume Civil War set (1866 and 1868)! .
