About This Item

Vancouver, British Columbia: Vancouver, BC: Raincoast / Bloomsbury, 1997 ( actually circa 2000 ) , 1st Canadian Edition, Later Printing ( number line shows this as the 8th printing but it is actually the 7th Canadian printing as the true Canadian First had a number line that sta ) , 1997. ------------( later printing of the First Raincoast Editions ) ----hardcover, about 5.25w x 8h inches, a Near Fine example but ther front blank endpaper has been glued to the verso of the front board (to cover up multiple ink names), ---in a Near Fine dustjacket --- there are two variants to the jacket art -early printings show a young magician on the rear panel and the the upper spine tip ---later printings show an older magician [clearly DUMBLEDORE] ---this copy shows the young magician , some creases to front flap, a bit of age toning to paper, looks new especially with the jacket in a hi-quality mylar protector, no writing in the book other than my lightly pencilled inventory number, ---this edition contains two errors: Line 1, page 8 has "highchair" instead of "high chair"; and on page 53 in the list of "Other Equipment" needed for Hogwart's School, " 1 wand " is listed twice ---errors that were corrected in later printings, copyright page states Joanne not "J.K.Rowling", ---this edition shows Raincoast on the title page and Raincoast and Bloomsbury info on the copyright page AND has Raincoast only on the lower spine tip of the jacket and the book, as well this has a Raincoast ISBN on the rear panel of the jacket and the book ---HOWEVER the ISBN on the copyright page is different and is an incorrect, invalid ISBN, this edition lists 4 titles by JKR (up to GOBLET ), the 7th printing (this is an 8th printing ) was the first time the Raincoast ISBN was used (all previous printings used the Bloomsbury ISBN ), any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo ///NOT SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---.
