Description:
New York, U.S.A.: Epstein & Carroll, 1961. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 1961 Epstein & Carroll FIRST EDITION ( distributed by Random House) **SIGNED** directly on the title page by both JUSTER & FEIFFER. A solid copy in VG+/G condition.. The deep blue boards with white lettering and illustrations have the merest of wear at the corners and spine ends. Inside the book there is only a very faint inscription at the top of the map page. The unclipped DJ shows a price of $ 3.95 crossed out and penned $ 3.19. I think this is a second state DJ with 5 brief reviews on the rear cover. There is some loss of color along the right edge of the front, some dirt on the rear and chips of color loss but overall a GOOD bright DJ! EXCEEDNGLY RARE WITH BOTH SIGNATURES! **BONUS** Also receive the very charming First Edition of the Dot and the Line 1963 Random House in VG/VG condition.

(NY): Scholastic Press. (1998). The advance reading copy of the first American edition of the first Harry Potter book, retitled from the British edition because the U.S. publisher did not think the American audience would be familiar with the concept of a "philosopher's stone." The Harry Potter series has been an unprecedented publishing phenomenon: whereas the first book had a first printing in the U.K. reported to be 500 copies, the seventh and last book in the series had a first printing reported at 16 million copies, in the U.S. alone. The American edition of the first book came in the wake of the success the novel had in England, and we have been told that there were 3500 copies of the advance reading copy done. Even so, this is a tiny number compared to the later books. Fine in illustrated wrappers. . First Edition. softcover.

First edition in second state jacket.Earl Derr Biggers is remembered primarily for his novels, especially those featuring the fictional Chinese American detective Charlie Chan, from which popular films were made in the United States and China. Derr Biggers was born in Warren, Ohio, and graduated from Harvard University in 1907. He worked as a journalist for The Plain Dealer before turning to fiction. His novel Seven Keys to Baldpate was popular in 1913, and George M. Cohan quickly adapted the novel as a hit Broadway stage play of the same name.
