London: John Camden Hotten. Very Good+. 1866. First Edition. Hardcover. 1866, First Edition, special Luxury edition in three-quarter fine-leather signed binding by Brentano Bindery in New York, with original marble slipcase. Large, Octavo (7.75 x 9) with colored illustrations by Ernest Griset, 164 pp. All edges gilt, with marble end-papers. Book is in Very Good+ condition with a strong spine showing no starting or drying to the leather. Front hinge shows some reading wear, particularly near the top of the spine, but again, there is no splitting or starting, and the integrity of the spine is in no way affected. Slip case shows some general rubbing and edge-wear. More images available upon request. ; 36 woodcut, hand-colored illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 164 pages .
