London: Bradbury and Evans, 1848. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Bound in red cloth with gilt decoration to front board & spine; blindstamp decoration to borads. Gilt to all page edges. Illustrated throughout in black & white by various artists. Usual wear to outer corners & edges; spine has bee rebacked; some soil to boards & small stain to lower edge of front board. Inner hinges repaired. Pages show age darkening, especially the frontispiece plates; some soiling to pages toward edges. Slight ripple to rear pastedown; stain to last free endpage.
