About This Item
Boston: Ticknor, Reed, and Fields, 1853. First Edition. First Edition. Original red embossed cloth, gilt design and lettering on spine. First Printing with only "Boston Stereotype Foundry" imprint on copyright page (versus "George C. Rand). Internally, clean and bright with no foxing. 8pp ads in front. A rare example indeed. Housed in chemise, with nice crimson quarter crushed morocco slipcase.
