W.& R.Chambers. London. 1904 1st.edition. Tall 8vo. (approx 7x5 ins.) In blue pictorial, bevelled cloth covers, with gilt to spine and front. Brown endpapers. In very good condition. Spine slightly darkened and rubbed at ends. Colours bright. some rubbing to corners. Cloth a little darkened. Endpapers clean and tidy, no inscriptions. the odd handling mark and spot to pages else a very clean and tight copy. 403pp. 8 b/w.plts.by W.H.C. GROOME. Book of adventure stories, the first five by G.A.Henty. Spine has picture of a Thug strangling a soldier, the front has a Roman soldier escaping on horseback.
