Bantam Books New York., 1967. 5th Bantam Printing.. Softcover.. Very Fine/--. Paperback.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Looks and feels NEVER READ. Book VERY FINE, Covers Near Fine. Covers are black, white gold and red letters, colour pictorial front, black/white photos from film on back. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, one small bent corner, one very faint vertical spine crease beside spine but not on spine, this is not even a full height crease, tiny bit of chip on edge of spine, miniscule edge wear. Page edges slightly sunned. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, crisp. Small bit of age darkening inside covers at binding and on edges of some pages. One page dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat. Owner’s name, date, small, in ink on ffep. A classic. A Southern town seething with hate, a dead body, a teen-age temptress, and an African-American detective in a savagely-paced tale of mystery introducing Virgil Tibbs. An explosive United Artists motion picture triumph starring Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger. Mystery Writers of America Award for best first mystery novel of the year. British Crime Writers Association Award for best non-British mystery novel of the year. Back cover has six black/white photos from the movie.

IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
