About This Item
La Salle, IL: Hegeler Institute, 1979. An "ideal hatchet job" (Anthony Flew) on Heidegger's ideas on Death as found in Being and Time. Edwards notes that philosophers who reject Heidegger's ideas usually just ignore them, which the author finds unfortunate; here he uses humor & logic to dismantle the arguments of Heidegger & his followers. Edwards, born in Vienna, was a professor of philosophy at NYU, Brooklyn College, and the New School; he was a friend of Bertrand Russell & known for his anti-Heideggerian views. Publisher's Monist Monograph Number 1. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book; jacket rubbed with some edgewear. Text clean; [6], 71 pages; notes. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Octavo.
