Collins, 1953. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1953. Reprinted. 256 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth boards. Contains black and white illustrations throughout by Pelagie Doane. Water staining on all surfaces. Pages are lightly tanned with foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's inscription to front paste-down, with water drops and a few nicks along text block edge. Cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Water staining on all surfaces. Book has a prominent forward lean and slight bow.
