Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. xiv, 66pp. Quarter bound in cloth over pale blue natural grain parchment boards (board somewhat soiled, rubbed at edges). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Firmly bound. Elegant bookplate of F J Waddingham on front paste down. Printed on hand made paper with deckled edges. Printed at the Riccardi Press for an on behalf of the Medici Society. Translation by F W Bain of the (possibly fake) ancient Sanskrit tale of the rising sun and the dawn told in the Vedas four thousand years ago. Bain, a British teacher working in India, wrote mny fantasy stories as well as producing a series of translations of what he called ancient Sanskirt manuscripts but there has always been a suspicion that Bain wrote the manuscripts himself.
