London: W. Collins Sons & Co. Ltd., 1924. First edition thus, first printing . Hardcover. Marian Ellis. Number 21 of 250 numbered copies signed by de la Mare on a special limitation page. The author's first book of fiction originally published in 1904 in London by John Murray. An unread copy with pages unopened. Many full-page black and white plates by Ellis. Quarter bound in tan cloth over gray paper covered boards with leather title label fixed to the spine. Small blemish to the front cover. A very good plus copy, without the dust jacket.
