"Henry Demarest Lloyd was the pioneer and leader of the great movement that has disillustioned Americans and probably has saved them from an abominable industrial despotism." In Two Volumes. Volume I: 308 pp. Volume II: 309 pages with index. Maroon cloth covers with gilt title on spine. Cover corners are bumped and rubbed, edges rubbed, wear/scuffing to cover faces. Spine lettering is faded, spine ends are bent and fraying. Ex. library with typical marks: identification numbers on bottom spine, bookplate adhered to front inside cover, stamps on back of all illustrations, embossed stamp and numbers on dedication page, checkout list on back free endpaper, pocket envelope on back inside cover. Gilt top page edge, dirt smudges to bottom page edge. Hinges loose. Interior pages are lightly browning along edges, some chipping to bottom corners. Books in G+ to VG- condition.. Cloth. Good+ to Very Good-. Illus. by Illustrated. Size: Approx. 6 1/2" x 9 1/4". Biography.
