About This Item

Syracuse, N.Y.: Everson Museum of Art, 1971. First edition. Wrappers, about 55 x 42 cm (unopened), 12 pages including illustrated covers. An artist's book and large format exhibition catalogue with poster cover; the "text" comprised for the most part of a montage-compilation of written pieces by and on Ono's Fluxus art. Design credited to John Lennon and Peter Bendry (and though not listed, also by Fluxus Master George Maciunas, who was instrumental in the exhibition design and several of the related publications including the separate poster which is identical to the cover of this work).

The Everson Show was a major Fluxus related event and a semi-retrospective of Ono's career to date. This publication is often stripped of the poster cover and it is becoming hard to find intact copies, particularly in first state unsoiled condition. Fine.
