London, 1771 Hardcover Very Good A very nice copy, original full leather boards, recently rebacked with handmade paper in a walnut stain Black title block with gold lettering Printed for John Nourse and Paul Vaillan, 442 pages plus index Original owner's name and date neatly written on the ffep, 'Thomas Kerrick 1785' Unmarked, bright pages with a very small amount of tanning at the top The flaw in this copy was discoverd by an early owner and noted in pencil inside the front cover 'page 43 repaired', Page 43 has a tear which someone took the time to painstakingly repair by stitching with silk thread The repair has held 'pages 243-88 misbound', is also penciled inside the cover but this has been corrected by the binder who did the rebacking
