Vellum backed gilt stamped buff boards, portfolio with inner flaps measuring 41 x 21 cm, containing 2 leaves printed one-side of card stock (title-page & contents), + 6 folders each with printed title and tipped-in to inner rectos a note in facsimile by Max Beerbohm and 5 portraits of characters from Noel Coward's play 'Bitter Sweet', including Noel Coward; Peggy Wood, George Metaxa; Ivy St. Helier; and Charles B. Cochran. Armorial bookplate of Canadian literary giant, Robertson Davies to inside front cover. Includes a types receipt for the book dated 26 Nov 1956 from the London bookseller Alec Clunes, 5 Cecil Court to Mr. Robertson Davies, "The Examiner" Peterborough, Ont. Canada. Boards bowed, else a good clean copy.
