Previous owner's names on front pastedown and ffep. Some smudging on front endpapers and a few pages. Dust jacket rubbed; spine faded; vertical crease along the spine; in a clear archival sleeve. viii, 244 pages. 7.3 x 4.8 inches. Scarce first edition in dustwrapper. Oxenham's novel, telling the story of the boyhood, youth, and early manhood of Jesus. The story is told by Jesus' next door neighbor and best friend, and later his partner in the carpenter's shop, a companion in the village games, and in the rambles over the hills--a quiet observer of all that passed in the simple home at Nazareth.
