Unclipped ($6.95) jacket shows ghost of pencil mark on front jacket flap and minor shelf wear. Jacket protected with removable mylar cover. The "master of Everest" sets out on a two-part mission: 1. to find the Abominable Snowman and 2. discover how man can survive winter at high altitudes. Part 1 (In Search Of Snowmen) was written by Desmond Doig and includes the must-read chapter 3 (Furs and Footprints). Part II (Our Life In The Clouds) was written by Edmund Hillary and includes the must-read chapter 11 (Himalayan Winter). 6.25x9.75 in. 254 pages including index.
