About This Item
Emmaus, PA: Rodale Press. Near Fine in Very Good- dust jacket. 1975 & 1977. Hardcover. 0875960677 . 2-volume set, hardcovers with dustjackets, Volume 1 is a first printing as stated on copyright page, the book is in excellent condition ("fine) with no remarkable flaws, the jacket looks great but has an edge-tear along the entirety of front fold that has been tape-mended, it also has some edge-tanning along the rear fold and a few tiny edge-tears, we rate it VG- but it looks better than it's grade because the long edge-tear is hidden, however, please note that the tape may tan with age, Volume 2 is a third printing as stated, the book has two minor flaws: moderate tanning to the top outer page-edge and mild tanning to the blank end-papers, we also note mild tanning in the margins of some of the pages, the binding is clean and tight and the text and illustrations are fine, we rarte It VG, the jacket has a similar edge-tear to the front fold as Volume 1 and is also tape-mended, this tear and the tape is more visible than the Volume 1 tear, a few additional edge-tears are present, we rate the jacket Good+, professional (removable) mylar covers are included for both jackets, "The absorbing stories of 46 men and women who have hiked the entire 2023 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia - 131 photographs in color" ; 2009 pages .
