A collection of first-hand accounts of the experience of hiking the trail. Illustrated with 132 mostly color photographs. Bound in cream linen. Condition - The books are unmarked and in VG condition - Only Vol 1 has a jacket (as pictured) and it's missing the front flap. Note: These books will require extra postage due to their weight and size.
The Appalachian Trail is a 2,190+ mile long public footpath that traverses the inland east coast of the United States from Maine in the north to Georgia in the south. Conceived in 1921, built by private citizens, and completed in 1937, today the trail is managed by the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, numerous state agencies and thousands of volunteers.
