About This Item
Amsterdam: Henry Desbordes, 1690 A good copy of an extremely scarce work by de Rosemond, 'tiree des Auteurs Anglois'. 2 parts bound in one with separate title pages. The full leather binding is contemporary, with raised bands and the remains of gilt tooling to the spine. It is worn and there is a piece of leather missing from the spine, but it is sound. Internally: the front pastedown is damaged and there is a small ink note to the top; there is an unreadable ink signature to the reverse of the free endpaper; blank; title page; advertissement 2pp; Histoire..Sous le Regne d'Edouard Second pp 1-138 'fin de la I partie'; blank; title page to second partie; preface 6pp; text 'Histoire...Entre les Maisons d'Yorck & de Lancastre: Contenant une Relation suivie, depuis l'an 1398 jusqu'a l'an 1509' pp 1-395 in 4 books; fin; rear free endpaper. The first work has light brown toning to pages and a couple of pages have lost a little of the bottom margin where the page has been roughly opened. The second work is less toned. Occasional marking but generally clean.

About E C Books
E C Books is a small online bookselling business, specialising in pre 20th century works:natural history, science, history, and travel, aiming for rarer and more unusual books. Our largest stock area is Natural History, where we have a good range of books from the 1700-1800's, many finely illustrated. Other areas include children's books, particularly late 1800's-early 1900's - again illustrated; and literature pre 1900.When you order books from us we ensure that they are properly packed to protect condition, and we always use recorded or 'signed for' postal services for more secure delivery. Please note that we have recently moved to the beautiful Orkney Islands, where we intend to open a bookshop over the next year. Because of our location we cannot guarantee 'next day' delivery but we will get your purchase to you as quickly and safely as we can. Please note that the buyer is responsible for the payment of any tax or duty on import.
