(1-8),9-316pp. 250 in text illus. 100 plates, of which 50 are tissue guarded and in color. . All 100 plates, b/w & color, single page but for one stub mounted double page color plate @ p134. Emmaculate plates; no foxing, soiling, aging, or any other kind of stain. REBACKED in plain silk, matching the cream colored silk covered boards, so no backstrip lettering; no author, title, etc. Upper board a very attractive gilt lettered & multi colored tableau of playing children. Bottom board much simpler in b/w. Bottom board rubbed. Both boards with minor edgewear. TEG. Marbled eps. Tight, no cracked signatures, loose leaves or plates. Two, and only two, tissue guards have wrinkled. .
