(as well as Vojeu De Brunem, B. & P.D.M.) is a pseudonym for le Prieur Joseph Jouve, the academic and Jesuit from Lyon, author (or rather arranger) of an important work on t he Tartar conquest of China in 1754 ; two "livres" bound as one with a single title page ; Signatures: pi2 a12 A-P12. ; OCLC: 9910144 ; full leather with raised bands, gold tooling and lettering, spine label ; fore-edge in red ; chipping to hinges ; an unfortunate stain running up from the bottom affects half the book, most notably pgs 150-159 ; printer's device of the Estienne Brothers on the title page ; some pages uncut ; only 5 copies held : at Yale, Chicago, Johns Hopkins, NY Public and Southern Methodist University ; text in French ; scarce ; FAIR
