Most of Sir Arthur Bryant's twenty essays here included were printed between 1936 and 1950 in the "Illustrated London News". All are personal subjects close to this celebrated historian's heart. He was born in 1899 on the Royal Sandringham estate, served in the Royal Flying Corps in the First World War, and wrote hugely popular history books and revived the neglected art of writing history as literature. He died in 1985. The book is bright and clean and unmarked with slight wear to the lower edge. Internals are in Fine Condition.
