John Murray, 1899. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1899. Ninth Edition. 643 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Rough cut pages with annotations throughout. Pages are moderately tanned with foxing to endpapers, pastedowns and text block edges. Cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper, with a few nicks along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with noticeable bumping and fraying to corners, and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Moderate tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends.
