Editorial de Ciencias Sociales [no date]. (hardcover) Fine, no dust jacket. 4to. English text. White faux leather, gilt facsimile signature of Fidel stamped to front. Housed as issued, in a brown lightweight cardboard slipcase, with a close-up black and white photograph of Fidel to one panel. Richly illustrated with full page black and white historical photographs. Published for the 'Year of the First Congress' (1975), and refers to the two hour speech Castro made October 16, 1953, in his own defense in court, as his response to the charges brought against him after he'd led an attack on the Moncada Barracks in Cuba. He revised the speech in prison, and later added the ttile words, 'History Will Absolve Me' This book has been published on the occasion of the First Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba..
