Very good copy in the original, aniline calf over bevelled buckram boards. Raised bands, gilt cross-bands with the compartments uniformly tooled in gilt. Provenance; bookplate of John Norman Ambler with the stamp of the TASC library to the prelim. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong. The 3rd edition was apparently the best from a textual perspective. Physical description; xxii, 655 p : illus.
