A history of architecture on the comparative method, ideal guide to students, craftsmen, and amateurs. Sir Banister Fletchers reviews some of the most magnificent monuments of man's effort, covering the various historical styles including Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Gothic, &c.; as well as non-historical styles such as Indian, Chinese, Saracenic, &c. The eighth revised and enlarged edition, featuring about three 3,500 illustrations, of which three hundred and six are full page plates in black and white. Collated, complete.  With its dust wrapper unclipped, increasingly scarce.  In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with light bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Dust wrapper unclipped with chipping and light loss t head and tail of spine, spine gently faded. Previous ownership pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good
