New York: Charles Scribner & Co., 1866. First Edition. Very good in its original brick red, cloth covered boards with gilt text on the spine. A 12mo of 7 1/4 by 4 3/4 inches with cloth on the spine heavily darkened and with the cloth at the head and heel of the spine worn and rubbed. There is a prior owner's book plate on the front paste down. The joints, hinges and binding are tight and strong. The contents are clean and free of foxing and tanning. 364 pages of text followed by a three page listing of other telegraphic companies which is followed by ads for other books by the publisher.
