New York: Charles Scribner & Co., 1866. First edition with some wear. Textured green cloth with gilt spine lettering, frontis chart of the Atlantic seabed, 364 pages plus list of Atlantic Telegraph Company officers, directors and offices, plus publisher's ads. Covers generally rubbed with frayed lower corners and a small fray at the lower outer edge of the front cover, lower corner of text block chewed but only far outer margins affected, good hinges, sound text block, two bits of tape residue on front free endpaper where old name label was taped, very light foxing to a small handful of pages, pages clean and unmarked.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
