Description:
With all 14 text volumes and all 6 map volumes. Usual mixed editions with title page dates ranging from 1911 to 1935. This set was sold by Maggs. Bros. 20 years ago with their invoice. Selling price then was £3,000. Bindings bright and fresh, fine condition. Jackets also fine with virtually no loss. Volumes clean, hinges strong. Two volumes (vol. 4, part 2, and vol. 5) have old discoloring dampstain to rear boards (very small in vol. 5, larger in other), but the jacket exteriors remain fine. All jackets now in plastic and stunning on the shelf. A really lovely set.
