About This Item
London: T Nelson and Sons, 1879. Hardcover. Good. Blind brown embossed boards slightly bumped at corners and rubbed at edges. Dewey ref on spine. Small rubber stamp to front paste down and ffep. In 1880 and 1881 a certain De Villiers Joubert of the "Paarl Educational Institute" inscribed his name, in an ornate script, at various points including the title page, the ffep, the preface and p.63. He also directs the reader on the title page to proceed to p. 63 "if you want to see my name". Pages are clean and slightly age toned but without any spotting. Occasionally there is a small pencil cross in the margins. Binding good. 346pp + 3pp ads.
