The books are in Good Only condition and were issued without dust jackets. The leather spine of Volume One has come off, and is currently laid-in the volume. The leather on both Volume One and Volume Two is worn and cracking. The text pages are generally clean, though there are occasional spots of foxing throughout. The front several pages of both volumes have come free, but are laid-in as well. The volumes have been illustrated throughout with images of important figures in the war. The endpapers of both volumes are marbled. All edges of the text block are marbled as well. Generally, this is a solid copy of the set.
