Philadelphia: Levis & Weaver, 1810. This is a Very Good copy of Volume Four only of an original four volume set, An early American issue, printed by Thomas L. Plowman. Scarce. Fully bound in diced leather ruled at the edges. Gilt titling within black labels on the spine, along with gilt decorations. Clean text; 460 pages, followed by an unpaginated Index of approximately 100 pages. Marbled endpapers and page ends. Occasional spotting and toning to the text; the frontis portrait has offset to the title page. Rubbed at the margins with corner bumps; chips to the head and foot of the spine.. First Thus. Full-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
