A reprint of the original editions, providing an extensive look at the styles and development of English furniture from 1500 to 1820, examining social and political climate, foreign influences, architectural practices, materials and craft. All in GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Pockets, pastedowns and spine labels present. General uneven fading, minor soiling and rubbing. Clear plastic laminate peeling off from several of the volumes, with a large section coming off of volume four. Volumes three and four in a darker cover than the first two. Interiors clean and solid with minor toning to the paper. International shipping will be extra. Please contact for rates.

- Reprint
- Any printing of a book which follows the original edition. By definition, a reprint is not a first edition.
- Rubbing
- Abrasion or wear to the surface. Usually used in reference to a book's boards or dust-jacket.
