First edition. Condition Very Good Dust Jacket Very Good. Book is clean and tight with no marks, highlights or bookplates. Volume has grey boards and black spine with red text blocks, gold embossing. Colophon with "W". BOMC dot on right corner of back cover. Minor signs of wear and/or age. An unclipped dust jacket faded on the spine. A few wrinkles, small tears and chips - the usual shelf wear. Protected by a mylar cover. Not an ex-library or remainder copy.

This is volume four of the work for which Churchill was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Volume Four: The Great Democracies describes how the defeat of Napoleon established England as the unrivaled master of a large part of the world. Insights to the growth of the Empire following Napoleon's death and the end of the Boer War, influence of America's Civil War.

International shipments are double boxed with shipping paperwork attached to the outside of the box using a special envelope. And a complete duplicate of all the paperwork packed inside the outer box in case the attached set wanders off.
