Hardcover has red cloth-covered boards with silver spine lettering. Black and white frontispiece. Black and white photographs. Binding tight. Appears to be unread. Book is in excellent condition with only a hint of shelf wear at the spine ends. Pages clean and unmarked. 718 pages. Dust jacket has overall surface rubbing, chipped and nicked edges, and small tears; spine is sunned. The back of the jacket has surface damage; it was stuck to something and then peeled off, pulling off the surface color and coating in many places over the entire jacket back. The book itself is completely unaffected by whatever happened to the dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
