Winston-Salem; 1979 and 1981: Hunter Publishing. First Edition Limited. Large Quarto. In two volumes. Illustrated with photographic images. Vol. 1: is a limited edition signed by the president Katherine Summers and numbered 1631. No limitation statement. 821 pages, with a large index. laid in is an appeal to Save Grayson County's Heritage, with notes on two names omitted in the volume, also laid in is a sheet about Volume II. Volume II which was issued two years later in 1981 has 568 pages. It is blindstamped on corner by Margaret B. Diffenbach who was a sponsor. Together the 1389 pages are the most complete history and genealogical work ever done on Grayson County. In addition, we have included a four page study by Michael Collins, dated July 25, 1981 entitled: A Paradise Lot: the Story of Woodlake. This small work was done through a grant from the Sherman Public Library and National Endowment for the Humanities (Southwestern Library Association). Both volumes bound in black cloth with a central scenic view gilt medallion inlaid, volume one's spine with black raised lettering, volume two with lettering and rules in gilt. A fine set.
