London: Printed for A. Strahan and T. Caddell, in the Strand, 1788. The first ten volumes published 1788, volume 11 published 1795. Bound in contemporary tree calf, the covers with gilt chain border interlinked with gilt flowers, the backs with black title labels and green volume labels lettered in gilt and gilt decorations, marbled end papers. Directions to binder at rear of vol. 10. Complete with the 5 maps and three plates, all fold-outs. Volume I with fold-out frontispiece portrait of Henry. Very Good, vol. 7 missing volume label, backs dulled, corners and edges rubbed, vols 5,6,8,9,11 with old dampstaining top edges of boards with some staining to leafs, mostly in margins. Interiors clean, all fold-outs Near Fine. Blindstamp of The Globe, Sutton, Surrey. Lacking volume 12, also published 1795. A handsome and still sturdy set in lovely contemporary binding. . Second Edition. Tree Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
