Edinburgh: A. Fullarton & Co. First 4 volumes published in 1835 with the last 3 volumes published in 1836 and 1838. 7 Volumes of an 8 Volume Set. Consists of Volume 1: Parts 1 and 2. Volume 2: Part 2. Volumes 3: Parts 1 and 2. Volume 4: Parts 1 and 2. Uniform bindings. I believe they are first editions. Illustrated by a series of portraits and other engraving (armorial bearings) at front of each volume. No map. lxxii,, 190 pp.; 191-447 pp.; 265 - 478 pp.; 1-264 pp; 265 - 504 pages; 1-240 pp.; 241 - 501, x, vii, vi, vii. Contents of the 4 volumes are at back of the last volume. Page edges uncut. 8vo 9 1/4" tall. Dark green cloth blindstamped with title paper label on spine. Ex-library - stickers removed just a few small ink stamps to indicate this. 3 of the 7 volumes are missing the backstrip on spine. Some repair to hinges - boards are attached. Some varying degree of foxing widely scattered but overall printed text is strong and easily read. Fair condition. .
