Hartford: WM. Jas. Hamersley, 1851. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo, xxvi, 509 pages. In Good minus condition. Spine is brown with gilt lettering. Boards show rubbing and mild minus water markings. Boards show rubbing and bumping to fore edge corners, rubbing to head, fore, and tail edges. Boards show minor bumping to fore edges. Boards show rubbing to spine, rubbing, bumping, and tearing to headcap and tail, slightly exposing binding at tail. Includes map in front free end pages. Binding shows rubbing to back board head edge, with tearing towards tail and headcap. Binding shows significant tearing to front hinge, significant separation of front board from hinge and spine. Binding is loose. Ownership inscription to front free end paper. Textblock shows age toning, minor scratching, mild foxing spots to fore and tail edges. RWO Consignment. 1371248. Special Collections.
