About This Item

New York: D. & J. Sadlier & Co., 1851. Abbe John Mac-Geoghan (1702-1763) served as a chaplain to the Irish Brigades, who served the French army for some 100 years. Translated from the original French by Patrick O' Kelly (1754-1835).This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition Thus. Green cloth binding with fancy blindstamped design; filled with gilt on the spine. Clean text, free from foxing except typically on the frontis; 630 pages, indexed. Minor bumping and rubbing, and a small chip at the head of the spine. A very decent copy of a book usually seen in poor condition. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. First Thus.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket.
