Passenger Travel and the Development of the Metropolis Two Volumes:- Volume 1 - The Nineteenth Century (Published in 1963); Volume 2 - The Twentieth Century to 1970 1st edition published in 1974 First Edition, with two frontispieces (one in colour), 289 plates on 148, and 22 maps (10 double-page) in the text; original cloth (first volume maroon, second volume scarlet), gilt backs, red tops, Both volumes and their jackets (Vol 1 is price clipped) are in very good condition - book plate of former owner, some scattered foxing on the fore edge of the book block, else near fine.A bright, clean set.
