Philadelphia: Lea & Blanchard, , 1842. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Two volumes in original brown cloth, very slight edgewear, original paper titles on both spines. Irving's famous first novel, a satirical rendering of New York history, so reknown that knickerbockers became synonymous with New York City residents, not to mention the N.Y, "Knicks" basketball team. Very clean and tight inside, with one professional internal hinge repair. Pages 276 and 235.
