Bound in red cloth, with protected clipped dw, new introduction by K S S Train, b/w frontis, "Stapleford Cross", 11 b/w plates, 1 map, 344pp.In the book is a brief introduction summary of the early history of the county but the book essentially begins with the Roman occupatipn and ends with the passing of the Reform Bill in 1832. The last important event to be described being the burning of Nottingham Castle in October 1831.
