London: The Caxton Publishing Company, 1908. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Edition and printing not known - a 'new illustrated edition'. In quite good very dark green buckram boards, gilt titles in elaborate title field to front and back strip. The covers have hinge damage and the front is loose; the spine ends are frayed, with small tear to tail end. Otherwise covers are fairly clean. Slightly tanned and marked end papers, name stamp to front free end paper. Tinted brown top edge; the fore and tail edges are tanned and foxed. The text block is in quite good condition - page block is loose from covers at front and webbing visible from first prelim. There is light tanning and foxing to prelims, end pages and a few text pages. With b/w plates, including frontispiece. No jacket.

About Clevedon Community Bookshop
Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our bookshop in Copse Road is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am to 4.00pm. The co-operative comprises just over 600 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town.
