The dustwrapper, which is price-clipped, is complete and untorn and is now protected in a clear, removable sleeve. Board tips a little bumped. Some fore-edge foxing but a clean copy internally. Ownership inscription on front free end-paper. Pp.xl,623 + errata page. 4 full-page illustrations. This is a reprint of the first edition of 1903. A detailed history of the Outer Hebrides together with material on fishing, trade and commerce, agriculture, emigration, natural history geology etc.

The binding is bright and clean with light pulling to spine ends and a couple of small spots on the front board. Top edges with a blue tint. Contents complete and very clean. Wrap with some browning to spine and edges and a small hole half way up the front spine fold.
