About This Item
1st Edition in scarce original dustwrapper. Very Good condition, with no inscriptions. Minor foxing to prelims/page edges. The original dustwrapper which is largely complete, but has a tear affecting the lower 3/4 of the leading spine fold/front panel, and lesser tear to the upper rear spine fold hence I have graded it only 'Fair' (though it is probably better than that). The front of the wrapper declares "The sale of this book is restricted to members of the Medical and Legal Professions, Scientists, Anthropologists, Psychologists, Sociologists, Criminologists, and Social Workers". The first work of its kind to promote a tolerationist, rather than abolitionist perspective.
