Virtue and Co., 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. New Illustrated Edition. 391 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth covered boards with decoration and gilt. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Pencil notes to margins. Damp stained and slightly torn front free end paper and paste down. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains.
