London and Calcutta: W. Thacker & Co., 1851. Book. Good-. Hardcover. 2nd Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. (4) 629pp,Appendix ( lxxv pp); full set of 6 maps and plans bound in at the rear. Bookplate of a former owner (Patrick Cadell) on the front endpaper, names of 2 previous owners in ink on the (blank) second free front endpaper. Covers edgeworn and sunned, hinges strained but secure, copy block clean and tight. Apparently, Volume II was never issued. Rebound in beige cloth/boards, with new endpapers and the original spine title applied to the new spine. The covers show moderate wear to the edges, but the page block is clean and complete..
